The north
Home ground. Nordic folk, played from the inside.

Nordic folk, and the scenic route
Two violins, a guitar, a mandolin, a clarinet, and a voice. We start in the north and keep the door open.
The music
Far väl plays folk music. The heart of it is Nordic — tunes that feel right in a wooden room, with a floor if there is one. Around that, we play music from across the world: melodies that travelled well enough to be worth learning.
The name is a wish on the way out the door. Far väl. Travel well. Six players, one band, and a setlist that is allowed to wander.

Mostly the north. Also: anywhere a good melody refused to stay put.
The band
Pass a tune around this group and it comes back slightly changed. That is the point.

The listening room
Nothing is up for streaming yet. When there is a recording, it will live here. Until then, the honest way to hear Far väl is in person.

When a concert, a dance, or a slightly too-small room is booked, the date goes here in letters you can read from the door.

Far väl
Concerts, dances, and gatherings with enough room for a clarinet. If you have a floor, we would like to play it.
